The Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department was established in the year 2002 with an intake
of 60. The Post Graduate programme with specialization of power Electronics was started in the year 2014 with intake of 18.
The B.Tech Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offered by the Department has been
accredited by ISTE in The Year of 2004.
The Department has conducted AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programmes, in 2006.
The department is organizing "A National Level Student Paper Contest" called TEQNOQUEST every
year from 2006 onwards.
The department is organizing "A National Level Student Technical Symposium GENESIS-2K7in the
year of 2007.
The department is organizing "One Day National Workshop On Recent Trends In Electrical Power
Systems & Control Systems Using MATLAB " in the year of 2009.
The Department has conducted "NATIONAL CONFERENCE-ELP2K16" in 2016.
The department is monitoring and maintaining 100KW Solar power plant in GKCE Sullurpet.
The Department has well qualified faculty are currently pursuing their Ph.D. All the faculty members
are post graduates with considerable research and academic experience.
Since inception the Department strives for excellence in teaching, research and professional services to
the industry so as to achieve eminence in selected niche areas of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering. The department has excellent link with leading industries and has a well-connected
alumni network. With the advent of Autonomous status, the course pattern has been significantly
revised in pace with modern trends and demands of present day. The curriculum is updated from time
to time as per the recommendations of the Board of Studies.
The department also has the credit of organizing Workshops, Industrial tours, Internships to the
students. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in research publications, short-term courses,
FDPs and workshops by the management of the college.
Infrastructure facilities include well equipped laboratories such as Electrical Machines laboratory,
Power Systems and simulation Laboratory, Circuits and Networks laboratory, Control Systems
laboratory, Electrical Measurements laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory, Electrical workshop
and Departmental Library.
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is dedicated to the current needs of industry
with the flexibility to tune its programmes according to different requirements. Application of new
technology in various fields is one of the main focuses in the activities of the department. Develop
skilled engineers to meet industry needs and hence develop responsible citizens for our country and
